Bola Oduyale holds a B.Sc.(Hons) Chemistry, from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and a Masters in Business Administration from University of Lagos, Nigeria. She started her career in 1990 in the Credit and Marketing unit of Pacific Bank Limited. She moved to Socit Gnrale Bank Limited in 1997 as an Assistant Manager.
She joined Union Bank of Nigeria (formerly known as Broad Bank of Nigeria Ltd) in 1999 as the Credit and Marketing Manager, before joining Standard Chartered Bank where she rose in ranks within 12 years (from 2001-2012), serving as the Director, Head, Financial Institutions, Nigeria from 2007 to 2011 and Director, Regional Head, Financial Institutions, Nigeria and Botswana, South Africa, where she was responsible for the Banks non-presence countries in sub Saharan Africa.
She has hands on experience in credit risk assessment/rating and monitoring, compliance, corporate, commercial and retail banking. She has worked with various teams to raise over 1 billion in financing for African sovereigns and banks through Private Placements, Eurobonds and Cross Currency swaps.She also worked with the International Financial Data Services Group (IFDS), Toronto, Canada, a subsidiary of State Street Corporation, the largest Asset Managers in the world where she worked as the Subject Matter Expert and Team Lead in the Tax, Legislative and Regulatory unit from 2013 to 2017 before assuming her current job role. She is a Fellow of the Chartered institute of Bankers
